What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a type of treatment you may need when health problems make it hard to move around and do everyday tasks. It helps you move better and may relieve pain. It also helps improve or restore your physical function and your fitness level.
How long does physical therapy take to help me?
The length of time that it may take for physical therapy take to help you may vary from patient to patient. There are many factors that must be considered. On your inital visit, your physical therapist will discuss your condition and will develop a plan of care for you. This will establish how many treatment sessions or weeks that the therapist feels it may take for you to meet the goals that you both set together. Each treatment session thereafter may last about one hour.
When can I come to therapy?
Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We strive to work with our patients and will work with you to provide appointment times outside of work or school.
What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment?
You will need a prescription for therapy from your doctor and there will be some new patient forms to sign when you come to your first appointment. We do ask that you arrive at least 15-20 minutes early for your first appointment to ensure you have ample time to complete this information. Please note that if you have a co-pay for physical therapy, it will be expected upon your first visit as well. To save you some time, please check out our "Getting Started" guide to find out what to bring with you.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurances. You may also "Contact Us" to find out if we participate with your insurance.
